A man had part of his ear bitten off in a savage attack on the Luas on Monday afternoon.
The victim was travelling on a tram shortly after midday when the brutal assault took place at the Busaras stop.
Distressing images, obtained by Dublin Live, were taken following the disgusting assault.
It show the man's head teaming with blood from the horrific wound.
Another picture shows part of the man's ear on the floor of the tram for fellow passengers to see.
A garda spokeswoman told Dublin Live they are investigating the sickening attack.
She said: "Gardaí attended to an incident at a tram stop in Dublin 1 earlier today, 15 th February 2021 at approximately 12.15pm. Enquiries are ongoing."
