Distressed mum feels 'unsafe' in her own home after neighbour's garden 'rampage'

A mum of two has shared how she has been left feeling "unsafe" in her own home after a neighbour "went on a rampage" in the communal area of their block of flats.

24-year-old Amie Nicole shared footage on social media of a woman, reportedly her neighbour, kicking children's toys and screaming "I will cut your baby up" at the block of flats in Pensby, the ECHO reports.

Police confirmed that a 32-year-old woman was been arrested in relation to the incident and currently remains in custody following the disruption.

Amie told the ECHO that the incident was 'just the latest' in a string of disruptive events which have plagued residents at the flats.

In the footage a woman can be seen kicking over children's play toys and vehicles parked in the communal parking area of the flats while screaming outside 'The Orchard' on Pensby Road - a newly built apartment complex on the site of a former care home.

The woman can be seen walking towards a white van while shouting "It's getting f**king blown up."

She then walks towards a downstairs window and continues shouting, at one point screaming: "Come on you little sh**house get outside. I'll f***ing get rid of you, you sl**."

After a verbal altercation off camera the woman starts shouting again "get me a f***ing weed now, you're taking the p***" before kicking a child's slide and knocking over a trampoline on a grassed area outside the apartments.

Aime told the ECHO: "Other people in the block have been threatened, the amount of screaming outside telling people they're going to boot someone's door in or banging on doors."

She said multiple incidents have been reported to police, but the problems continue.

She said: "They get arrested but then are back out the next day. It's got so bad a few of my friends who live here are talking about moving out.

"We've all only just moved here, it's had a big impact, you don't feel like your safe in your flat, we've all got young kids here, our children shouldn't have to witness this."

"We're all friends, we've got a good community here and all our kids play together and we're good neighbours together but this is spoiling it for all of us."

"Something needs to be done."

A spokesperson for Torus Housing said: "Torus takes complaints from tenants and instances of anti-social behaviour (ASB) very seriously.

"We understand that ASB can cause distress to neighbours and the wider community and, whilst we cannot comment in detail on individual cases for data protection reasons, we always strive to tackle such issues effectively and sensitively.

"Torus’ Safer Estates team is actively responding to recent complaints made by residents at the Orchard in Pensby.

"The complaints have been assigned to an officer, who is looking into and progressing the case in line with our ASB policy.

"We act robustly in partnership with Merseyside Police to resolve such matters, for the benefits of tenants and the wider neighbourhood."
