Distraught sister makes desperate appeal to find missing 14-year-old girl

A distraught sister has made a desperate appeal to find a missing 14-year-old girl who was last seen on a 'Snapchat map' at a pub six days ago.

Jodie Pook went missing from her home on September 15 and hasn't been seen since, police have said.

Her sister Carla Jade, 29, said her last known location was the Malt House pub in Horbury, near Wakefield, West Yorkshire, at around 11pm.

She said her sister had been using the Snapchat social media app which allows users to share their real-time location when logged-in.

Jodie, who is originally from Widness, Cheshire, was wearing a black jumper and black knee-length leggings at the time of her disappearance.

She was described as being 5ft4in tall, of a slim build and had curled her hair.

Posting on Facebook, Carla said: "We just want to know she’s safe and get her home.

"We all love you Jodie, please come home baby girl, or get in-touch."

West Yorkshire Police said there are concerns for her welfare and officers are still attempting to locate her.

Jodie has connections to the Merseyside, Blackpool, Widnes and Manchester areas, the force said.

A police spokesperson said: "Jodie was last seen on Wednesday, September 15 at 7.45pm. At the time she was wearing a black jumper and black knee-length leggings and had curled her hair.

"The new pictures show Jodie with both curled and straight hair.

"She has connections to the Merseyside, Blackpool, Widnes and Manchester areas.

"Police are keen to speak to anyone who can provide information about Jodie’s movements or current whereabouts.

"Jodie herself is also urged to make contact with the police or her family to confirm she is safe and well."

Anyone who can assist is asked to contact police in Wakefield on 101 or via the West Yorkshire Police website.
