Distraught Dublin mum cries out for missing son to come home after 'out of character' disappearance

A distraught Dublin mum has pleaded with her missing son to call home after an "out of character" overnight disappearance.

Teenager Paul Brennan Doyle has been missing from the Ballymun area since 1:30pm yesterday.

The 14-year-old's worried mother Elizabeth Brennan told Dublin Live that it was very unlike her son to go missing for such long periods especially overnight.

She said: "We've been ringing around to all of his mates to see if he's been in contact with any of them.

"It's just not like him to go missing for a whole night."

Paul is described as being 5'6", of slim build and wears glasses and was last seen wearing a black cap and a black Nike jacket.

Elizabeth has urged her teen kid to get in touch with someone he trusts and just to let them know he's okay.

She said: "Ring myself, or your dad or someone close to you. Anyone, just so that we know you're safe."

Anyone with information on Paul's whereabouts are asked to contact the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
