Distillery based in Airdrie announce huge increase in sales reaching nearly £70m

Inver House Distillers has announced increased sales and pre-tax profits for the year to September 2018.

The company, whose bases include a distillery at Moffat Mills in Airdrie, saw sales increase by 7.4 per cent in the 12-month period – led by a 20 per cent jump for single malt Old Pulteney and further growth for its single malts and Caorunn gin.

It saw the company’s total sales reach £67.3 million, and pre-tax profits rose to £8.8m.

Delighted managing director Martin Leonard said: “It was encouraging to see sales of our single malts grow significantly – the result of having consistently invested in our people, production at our distilleries, the quality of our spirits and their sales and promotion.

“Our focus is on rolling out some exciting plans and building further success in 2019 and beyond.”
