Disruption warning as new update given on work on £40m bypass

Motorists on a major road in Nottinghamshire are likely to face disruption as the constriction of the Gedling Access Road continues.

On Monday, November 22, traffic management will be in place on Arnold Lane to allow for the removal of vegetation on the hedgerow opposite the golf course at Mapperley Golf Club after it regrew.

There will be an off-peak daytime lane closure under two-way traffic lights as a result of the Nottinghamshire County Council work.

As well as this, there will be a full-time lane closure under two-way traffic lights from Tuesday, November 23 to Wednesday, December 1.

This is to allow the installation of a road crossing and jointing of a new power cable.

Nottinghamshire County Council said delays may be likely as a result of the measures.

"We would like to thank all road users and local residents for your patience throughout the construction of the GAR," they added.
