Disruption to southside roads to continue following engineering difficulties

Drivers are to face continued disruption in the southside as Scottish Water works in the area are extended.

Due to engineering difficulties, the upgrades, which were due to be completed by Monday (February 24), will continue until Sunday, March 1.

The works have meant a north-bound lane on Pollokshaws Road has been shut completely, from the bus stop at Mannering Court, around Haggs Road junction and up to the junction with Ellangowan Road.

There will be three-way temporary traffic lights in place to manage the flow of traffic during construction.

When the project by Scottish Water partner Caledonia Water Alliance is completed, the areas will be fully reinstated and the lanes re-opened.
