Disruption for rail passengers using Bristol Temple Meads station due to engineering delays

Rail Passengers using trains at Bristol Temple Meads station face disruption today (Sunday August 15) due to delayed engineering works.

Network Rail has advised that works due to be completed on Saturday night have been delayed until further notice and rail replacement buses will be in operation between Bristol Parkway and Bristol Temple Meads.

CrossCountry trains has said: "Network Rail has informed us that engineering works due to be finished overnight between Friday 13 and Saturday 14 August will take longer to complete, therefore we cannot run trains to or from Bristol Temple Meads on Sunday 15 August until further notice."

CrossCountry rail services will today start and terminate at Bristol Parkway to and from the north and rail services will start and terminate at Taunton to and from the west.

For those who choose not to travel today due to the overrunning engineering works, tickets for CrossCountry services dated today (Sunday 15 August) or yesterday (Saturday 14 August) will be valid for travel on CrossCountry services on earlier or later services today (Sunday).

Passengers may also use tickets dated Saturday 14 or Sunday 15 August on CrossCountry services tomorrow (Monday 16 August) as an alternative.

CrossCountry trains says tickets will be accepted on Great Western Railway services on reasonable routes, including the road replacement in operation.

Meanwhile, passengers affected on the CrossCountry Trains network are advised to take alternative routes listed here
