Disruption expected on main Perth road when three weeks of re-surfacing gets underway

Residents and drivers are facing travel disruption when resurfacing works gets underway in Perth next week.

Two sections of Glasgow Road are being targeted from Monday, May 24 for three weeks.

The first section will be from Cherrybank to Needless Road for one week from Monday.

Temporary traffic lights will be in place and a convoy system will be in operation.

A number of side roads will also need to be closed where they meet Glasgow Road, including Oakbank Road, Low Road, Viewlands Terrace and Needless Road.

One-way sections on Oakbank Road and Low Road will be removed to maintain residential access.

From May 31 for approximately two weeks, the work will move on to a section of Glasgow Road from Pitheavlis Crescent to Rose Crescent.

Again temporary traffic lights and a convoy system will be in operation and roads will be closed at their Glasgow Road junction. These include: Viewlands Road, Pickletullum Road, Rosebank, Strathearn Terrace, Tullylumb Terrace, Tullylumb Farm Lane and Rose Crescent.

Access to Rosebank will be maintained for residents when it is safe to do so.

The length of works could be subject to change.
