Disrespectful Manchester United fans silenced, Duncan Ferguson's singalong and Everton moments missed from Old Trafford

Marcel Brands Conversation

Marcel Brands, Andre Gomes and Everton head of therapy services Dan Donachie were spotted deep in conversation at half-time at Old Trafford.

Gomes is recovering from a fracture dislocation to his ankle suffered against Tottenham Hotspur in November.

The Portuguese made the trip to Manchester to support his team-mates and was also joined in the directors box by Farhad Moshiri and Bill Kenwright.

With injuries depleting Everton's midfield to unprecedented levels, perhaps Brands was asking Gomes if he'll be fit to face Leicester City on Wednesday?

180 seconds.

That's how long it took a section of Manchester United supporters to start their first tirade of 'Feed the Scousers' at Old Trafford.

In the same week a Conservative government were elected - a result that will could well hit the North-West of England hardest - it was disappointing to hear an old, boring and quite frankly disrespectful chant ringing out around the historic stadium.

It was quickly silenced, however, by a 'Tory, Tory Man United,' response from the superb Everton section.

Pecking Order Change

If Jonas Lossl was a tough-tackling central midfielder he would be starting week-in-week-out for Everton.

Sadly for the Dane, it's a tough life being a goalkeeper.

Only one man can guard the posts and Jordan Pickford has not missed a Premier League game since arriving from Sunderland in the summer of 2017.

Lossl had been Pickford's deputy under Marco Silva but Duncan Ferguson seems to prefer a little more experience.

The former Huddersfield stopper travelled to Manchester United but Maarten Stekelenburg, for the second week running, was eventually preferred as substitute goalkeeper.

Alex Iwobi Gesture

He only signed in the summer but Alex Iwobi clearly knows the importance of Everton's fan-base.

There's an intrinsic link between players and supporters at times and it felt like the away-end dragged the Toffees over the line during a testing final stage at Old Trafford.

Iwobi, at one particular point of pressure, turned to the mass of Evertonians and waved his arms in a call for support.

Duncan Ferguson Singalong

It wouldn't be a moments missed without Duncan Ferguson, would it?

The interim manager went to the away end to show his appreciation at full-time - and couldn't resist joining in with the singing himself.

Everton are by far the greatest team the world has ever seen, apparently.

I won't argue if Big Dunc is chanting it!

Naturally, a tremendous roar swept around the stadium. And it was most definitely Blue.
