A "disrespectful" tweet has been slammed after an image of Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp was included in a picture montage.
The tweet surfaced under the caption "beaten at home during lockdown" which showed the faces of five women who had suffered domestic abuse alongside a photo of Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp following his side's defeat to Fulham.
Responding to the "distasteful" image, Merseyside Police said although no criminal offence had been committed, the post was "hugely disrespectful" and urged people to think twice before sharing it.

A statement from assistant chief constable Ian Critchely, Merseyside Police lead for investigations and chair of the Strategic Domestic Violence Partnership said: "Although no criminal offence has been committed, it is hugely disrespectful and upsetting to anyone who has suffered domestic abuse.
"Victims often put themselves in the public spotlight in order to highlight this important issue and offer advice, support and solidarity to other people who have suffered and are continuing to suffer domestic abuse, often in silence.
"Our partnership work with victims groups to support those individuals and their families who are really suffering from this abhorrent abuse and to make fun of this in such a way is demeaning and unhelpful and I would urge people to think twice before sharing such images.
"Protecting our most vulnerable communities is one of the Force’s priorities and being able to support and advise victims of domestic abuse has never been more important than it is now.
"If you are suffering from any form of abuse, it’s never ok and you do not have to stay at home if it is not safe to be there. Please do not suffer in silence, we are here to help you."
Merseyside Police added: "If you have any non-urgent information on domestic abuse – if you are a victim or believe someone you know is a victim - you can DM @MerPolCC on Twitter and Facebook or contact @CrimestoppersUK, anonymously on 0800 555 111. Always call 999 in an emergency."
