Disqualified driver crashes with six children in the car on the M5 motorway

A disqualified driver crashed with six children in the car during an incident on the M5.

The minor collision took place near J24 on the motorway on Saturday (June 22).

After being stopped by police, officers found that the driver had previously been disqualified from driving.

The motorist was also driving without any insurance, according to the Roads Policing and Road Safety Team on Twitter.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said: "Vehicle driver at fault for a minor RTC on M5 Junction 24.

"Driver had six children in the vehicle - however, driver did not have insurance and is currently disqualified from driving! Reported for offences."

The driver was reported for driving whilst disqualified and using a motor vehicle without third party insurance.
