Disqualified driver caught with fake licence and insurance disc after being stopped speeding

A west Dublin driver found themselves in hot water after gardai stopped them for speeding only to find they also had fake tax and insurance discs.

Gardai stopped the driver after their car was found to be traveling at 83k/ph in a  a 50k/ph zone.

As well as the fake discs, the driver was also found to be disqualified from driving.

Gardai said: "Blanchardstown Roads Policing Unit stopped this car traveling at speed 83km in 50km zone.

"Driver produced a counterfeit licence and had a fake insurance disc displayed.

"Driver was also disqualified from driving. Arrested and court to follow."
