A dispersal order is in force this weekend to deter yobs from causing trouble in part of Runcorn.
The order will make it an offence for anyone to return to the area - covering Trident Retail Park and the shops on West Lane including by Burger King and Lidl plus the busway - for up to 48 hours after being told to leave.
A Cheshire Police spokeswoman said officer patrols are also to be increased.

The dispersal order powers are in place from 6pm today until 6pm on Sunday.
In December, the ECHO reported how gangs of up to 45 youths were reported by a police newsletter to have been causing mayhem around Trident Park, including setting fires, turning off escalators so people would fall over, and using bicycles “as weapons”.

Chief Inspector Andy Blizard said: “Due to ongoing antisocial behaviour here in Runcorn by a small minority of young people, we have put in these extra measures over the weekend to deter this behaviour and reassure people that we are taking this seriously.
“This type of behaviour will not be tolerated; our communities should not be disrupted by anti-social behaviour.
“Every resident has the right to feel safe in their neighbourhoods yet a small minority are disrupting this.
“I would urge anyone who witnesses or feels that they have been subjected to antisocial behaviour (ASB) to report this to us by calling 101 or reporting it via our website so that we can investigate further.”
A similar order is in place in neighbouring Widnes.
Anyone with information on ASB in their area can report it to Cheshire Police via https://www.cheshire.police.uk
