Disneyland Paris sets date for reopening

Disneyland Paris has set the date for reopening after lockdown lifts in France.

France is still on the amber list for travel - meaning people in England and Wales are currently advised not to go, and if you do you will need to quarantine at home when you get back.

But that situation could change before the Disney resort reopens as more countries are set to be added to the green list in the next few weeks.

A spokesman for Disneyland Paris said: "We are pleased to announce that Disneyland Paris will reopen on June 17, 2021 with Disneyland Park, Walt Disney Studios Park, Disney's Newport Bay Club and Disney Village.

"Our reopening will follow enhanced health and safety measures.

"The long-awaited Disney's Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel will open on June 21, 2021, with sales opening on May 18, 2021.

"We look forward to welcoming you back to the heart of the Magic!"

The new Covid secure measures include limiting the number of people in the parks at any one time, while anyone over five-years-old has to wear a mask.

There is physical distancing throughout the parks.
