Disneyland Paris evacuated as tourists told to 'stay inside'

There has been an incident at Disneyland Paris with people being evacuated or told to stay indoors, according to social media reports.

Tourists at the theme park claim they saw people running and screaming. Video footage on The Mirror appears to show people fleeing in the dark.

Visitors are reportedly being told to stay in their hotels and not attempt to go to the village tonight.

Others claim they are 'on lockdown' inside restaurants as panic spreads.

People who were in a Starbucks cafe are reportedly being led through a backstage route.

Others were also evacuated via the back of shops.

Plans for UK's answer to Disneyworld unveiled - and it could be opened by 2024 

Police officers and the army are on the site, according to reports.

A witness told  Sud Info : "The security guards locked the doors and we were evacuated by the back shop.

"It was really panic. Many people were crying. We really wondered what was going on. I was with my son."

An unofficial Disneyland account tweeted: "Our Team Members are safe! They got evacuated pretty quickly, some are at their hotels, some are still in the village at a safe place! Please follow the instructions from the Cast Members and try to stay calm! We do not know what is going on at disneylandparis"
