Disneyland closes around the world amid coronavirus outbreak and Justin Trudeau self-isolates

Disney has closed all of its theme parks around the world as the coronavirus outbreak continues to gather pace.

The much-loved company announced it is closing its flagship theme park resort in Florida, Walt Disney World, as well as Disneyland Paris after recently closing its California resort.

This means all 11 of its theme parks are now closed.

All new departures with the Disney Cruise Line are also suspended.

Wales Online reports the ‘unprecedented’ decision to close all parks, and suspend the Disney Cruise Line, was taken late on Thursday amid the rapid spread of Covid-19.

The global pandemic has caused widespread cancellations of public gatherings in a variety of countries.

Meanwhile, the Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and Chelsea player Callum Hudson-Odoi have tested positive for coronavirus and the Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau and his wife, Sophie, are in self-isolation after she tested positive for the virus.

In the UK, new measures to delay the spread of coronavirus in the UK have come into full force with the government saying it's likely up to 10,000 people are already infected.

The new guidance means anyone with coronavirus symptoms, however mild, must stay at home for seven days.

Schools will not be closing in England at this point but people are being advised to isolate themselves for seven days if they have a cough, fever or fall ill.

Currently, there are 590 confirmed cases of the virus in the UK, 491 of which are in England.

There are eight confirmed cases of coronavirus in Liverpool.
