Disney World introducing nighttime party at Typhoon Lagoon

A new Walt Disney World event is getting glowing previews. The resort is adding an after-hours, after-dark dance party _ dubbed Disney H20 Glow Nights _ this summer at Typhoon Lagoon water park.

Beginning on June 21, lighting effects will illuminate the water park, which will feature "Toy Story" characters such as Buzz Lightyear, Woody and Jessie in beach-party mode. Disney says the event was inspired by the animated Pixar short "Partysaurus Rex."

The evening will include party games, character interactions and dancing on the beach. All of the water park's attractions will be operating during Glow Nights, according to a post on the official Disney Parks Blog.

The event is tied to Disney World's Incredible Summer promotion, which will include Pixar properties in all four theme parks, including Incredibles-led takeover of Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom.

Glow Nights will BE held on Thursdays and Saturdays between June 21 and Aug. 11. Operation hours will be 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The event will require a separate ticket from regular daytime admission. The cost will be $55 ($50 for ages 3-9). Tickets for Disney H20 Glow Nights are on sale now.
