Disney worker accused of video voyeurism in Animal Kingdom employee bathroom

ORLANDO, Fla. _ A Disney worker confessed to video voyeurism after he was caught using a cellphone in an employee-only bathroom at Animal Kingdom, according to a sheriff's office report.

Charges of video voyeurism against Eric King, 21, of Polk City, have been filed with the state attorney's office for its consideration, an Orange County sheriff's spokeswoman said Monday.

King was placed on unpaid leave pending the investigation into the allegations, a Disney spokeswoman said.

The victim, also a Disney employee, alerted authorities that he was standing at the urinal when he noticed a cellphone pointed at him from under the nearby bathroom stall, according to an Orange County Sheriff's incident report.

He banged on the bathroom stall and yelled then waited 20 minutes outside to confront the man when he left the bathroom, the report said. While the victim waited, he called authorities at Disney security and the sheriff's office.

The bathroom was in an area behind the scenes of Animal Kingdom and off-limits to the public, according to Disney.

The sheriff's office interviewed King who at first said the cellphone slipped from his hands and he was just picking it up in the stall, the report said.

Later, King confessed to video voyeurism, according to the report.

Authorities did not see any videos or photographs on King's phone, although the report questioned whether he might have deleted them.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 was confiscated and taken as evidence and a computer forensic analysis, the report said. No additional reports were available Monday, a sheriff's spokeswoman said. King did not respond to an email and a voicemail seeking comment.
