The Walt Disney Company has officially entered the streaming wars, taking on the likes of Netflix and HBO with the launch of Disney+, its new subscription-based streaming platform.
Ahead of the service's launch in November, Disney unveiled the long list of shows and movies that have been made available to subscribers, including several originals plus a large selection from its storied archive.
The platform is also the home of several Fox titles following the 2019 Disney-Fox merger.
Among the titles available on Disney+ are classics such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio and Cinderella, as well as pop culture essentials from the LucasFilm, Marvel and Pixar catalogues.
We've compiled a list of the 25 most exciting programmes to watch on Disney + now that the platform has launched in the US. Disney+ will become available in the UK on 31 March, 2020.
The streaming service, first announced in April, costs $6.99 a month. The platform made its debut shortly after the launch of one of its competitors, Apple TV+, which entered the market on 1 November.
More titles will be added to the Disney+ catalogue as time goes on, including a TV show dedicated to the MCU character Loki, starring Tom Hiddleston.
Unlike some of its competitors such as Netflix and Hulu, Disney+ won't have a rotating slate of content and each addition to the platform will be permanent, a spokesperson previously told Comicbook.com.
