Disney store Belfast announces plans to close

It's the end of an era for Disney fans in Belfast as the popular store announces plans to close within days.

The future of the Belfast's store was hanging in the balance amid the company's recent plans to move the majority of their business online.

Rumours were circulating in June that Disney will shut the majority of its physical stores in the UK with the exception of two flagship stores in London and Dublin.

But the company refused to be drawn on speculation that the Belfast store on Donegall Place would be closed by September.

This week, a notice put up on the door of the store confirmed the closure.

It read: "Thank you for being our Guest.

"This store will close on or before Saturday 18th September. You'll still be able to find amazing items from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, plus lots more magic at shopdisney.co.uk.
