If you thought Endgame was maybe the last Marvel film for a while, think again.
Disney-Fox released its recently updated release schedule Tuesday morning, announcing dates for three new Star Wars movies along with a bunch of Avatar sequels that no one asked for.
Per Deadline, after the release of “Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker” later this year, we’ll get a new Star Wars film every two years, on Dec. 20, 2022, Dec. 18, 2024 and Dec. 18, 2026, respectively.
The list also included a huge chunk of Avatar films being pushed out in 2021, 2023, 2025 and 2027. Along with those two franchises, there’s also a giant slate of untitled Marvel films. Per reports, potential titles could include the new Black Widow film, The Eternals or some as yet undiscovered quartiere of comic book heroes.
Basically, we’ll see Marvel, Star Wars and Avatar films until the heat death of universe. Personally, I’m super stoked for Marvel’s Old Captain America and the Sea, a gritty, superhero take on a Hemingway classic.
