Disney Plus offer free trial of new streaming service - here's how it works

The long-awaited Disney+ streaming service has finally launched in the UK, and if you've yet to sign up, you can try it for free.

Disney is currently offering a seven day free trial to would-be users, giving unlimited usage during that time to view hundreds of new and xisting Disney-owned films and television series.

All users have to do is head to disneyplus.com and select either the £5.99 pay monthly option to start the seven-day free trial.

Users have to cancel before the trial ends or face being charged the monthly fee once it ends. However, the subscription is contract free so you can cancel at any time.

The new offer is perfect for anyone who missed out on the discounted pre-order deal, where the annual subscription was slashed from £59.99 to £49.99.

Disney+ is set to launch in the UK on Tuesday 24 March (Disney)

Disney+ is tipped to rival streaming giants like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and NOW TV, with access to an unmatched catalogue of popular Disney-owned content.

However Sky and Amazon Prime users can access Disney+ content with their existing TV sunscriptions.

Shows include Star Wars television spin-off The Mandalorian and classic Disney Channel show Lizzie McGuire.

The service, which is already available in the US, also went live in other countries across Europe such as Ireland, France and Spain at the same time as in the UK.
