Disney Plus confirm 'Pam & Tommy' UK and Ireland premiere date for 2022

Disney has today announced that the hit original limited series 'Pam & Tommy', will premiere on Disney+ in the UK and Ireland on Wednesday, February 2, 2022.

The series will debut with the first three episodes, with episodes being released weekly afterward until March 9, 2022.

Set in the Wild West early days of the Internet, 'Pam & Tommy' is based on the incredible true story of the Pamela Anderson (Lily James, “Yesterday”) and Tommy Lee (Sebastian Stan, “The Falcon & the Winter Soldier”) sex tape.

Stolen from the couple’s home by a disgruntled contractor (Seth Rogen, “Long Shot”), the video went from underground bootleg-VHS curiosity to full-blown cultural obsession when it hit the Web in 1997.

A love story, crime caper and cautionary tale rolled into one, the eight-part original limited series explores the intersection of privacy, technology and celebrity, tracing the origins of our current Reality TV Era to a stolen tape seen by millions but meant to have an audience of just two.

Lily James stars as Pamela Anderson in the 8 part hit series (Disney +)

The hit 8 part series stars Lily James, Sebastian Stan, Seth Rogen, Taylor Schilling, Nick Offerman, Andrew Dice Clay, Pepi Sonuga, Spencer Granese and Mozhan Marnò.

The annual subscription costs just £7.99 a month or £79.90 for the full year.

Since its launch in 2020, Disney+ has become extremely popular amongst film fanatics. It features content from the likes of Disney, Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars and National Geographic, as well as more ‘mature’ content on its star category - which is where Pam & Tommy will sit.

There's currently no free trial available for Disney+, but if your mobile network provider is O2, you may be able to save some money, as they are offering six months of Disney+ free for upgrading and new customers.

If you're not looking to upgrade, as an O2 customer you can add Disney+ to your existing mobile plan, and they'll give you £2 off of your monthly bill.
