Disney on Ice won't be coming to Liverpool this year

Disney on Ice is returning to venues across the UK this year - but it won’t be coming to Liverpool.

For the last several years, the Disney extravaganza has wowed fans at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena, but organisers have now confirmed that the show will not return this year.

The news will no doubt come as a shock to many families who have been looking forward to seeing Mickey and Minnie Mouse - as well as all their friends - after last year’s event was cancelled due to the pandemic.

However, Disney says that sometimes changes mean it is “impossible to get to cities in which we have previously played”.

A spokesperson for Disney On Ice said: "We try our best to perform in as many cities as possible over the course of any given year, and we vary our tour routes from time to time.

“Unfortunately, changes in routing sometimes make it impossible to get to cities in which we have previously played.

“We look forward to returning to Liverpool soon.”

Families won’t need to completely miss out on the Disney on Ice magic this year since the production is heading to AO Arena in Manchester , which is around an hour’s drive from Liverpool city centre.

This year’s show is called Find Your Hero and will feature characters from Tangled, Frozen, Moana and more.

Fans will join fearless wayfinder Moana and demigod Maui as they bravely voyage into uncharted territories to return the stolen heart of Te Fiti, watch as Anna and Elsa take on their quest to protect the kingdom and dive “Under The Sea” to test the power of true love with Ariel.

Disney on Ice will head to the AO Arena in Manchester from November 3 to 7, 2021.

Tickets start from £21.95 and are available here .
