Disney: New Star Tours scenes timed to 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker' film

The Star Tours attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park will be updated in December to reflect locations seen in the upcoming "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" film.

In fact, they'll both drop on Dec. 20, according to the Disney Parks Blog.

One detail revealed: Kef Bir, the ocean moon featured in the latest "Skywalker" film trailer, will be in the Star Tours lineup. The blog post indicates that there will be more than one film-inspired location unveiled in December.

The changes also will come to Star Tours attractions in Disneyland in California, Disneyland Paris and Tokyo Disneyland.

The additions will land on the week after Star Tours, a 3-D motion simulator, marks its 30th anniversary at Hollywood Studios. In 2011, the ride was altered to include multiple scenes and combinations, when it picked up the subtitle of "The Adventures Continue."

The location of Batuu _ the home planet for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Hollywood Studios _ has also been added to the mix.
