Disney Magic cruise ship returns to Liverpool: timings, party, what to expect, road closures, and more

The Disney Magic cruise ship arrives in Liverpool this morning for its fourth visit.

The cruise liner, which has 11 decks, holds 1,754 passengers, 915 crew and is almost 1,000ft in length, will be in Liverpool from 7:30am to 6:45pm today.

Docking at Liverpool Cruise Terminal , the stop will mean guests on board the ship can explore the city, and fans from Liverpool can head to Princes Parade to take a look at the famous liner.

Cruise Liverpool is hosting a special, family-friendly party this evening called Magic on the Mersey to celebrate the ship’s arrival.

When will Disney Magic be here?

Disney Magic is set to arrive at Liverpool Cruise Terminal at 7:30am today, and will stay in the city until it sets sail again at 6pm.

The sailaway party is expected to last 45 minutes and will feature a quayside concert and confetti show.

The ship will dock at Liverpool Cruise Terminal on Princes Parade.

What’s on at the party?

The Magic on the Mersey party will bring Princes Parade to life with a vibrant and colourful street animation programme.

There will be performances starting from 3pm including shows from Adam Brown Dance Company, Movema, Pagoda Arts, VIP Puppets and more.

How much does it cost?

The party is completely free of charge.

Will there be any road closures?

Princes Parade will be completely closed from 2:30pm - 7pm today.

When does Disney Magic leave Liverpool?

Disney Magic sets sail from Liverpool at 6pm today, with it’s sailaway party expected to last around 45 minutes.

To mark the sailaway, there will be a quayside concert and confetti show.
