Disney Magic cancels trip to Liverpool in 2020 due to coronavirus

Iconic cruise liner Disney Magic will not be returning to Liverpool this summer due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The liner, which has 11 decks, holds 1,754 passengers, 915 crew and is almost 1,000ft in length, was due to return to the city in September after wowing spectators again last year.

The enormous vessel is usually welcomed into Liverpool with fanfare, having arrived in 2019 to a Magic on the Mersey party for all the family and left following a sail away party with a dazzling firework display.

Now, Disney Cruise Line has confirmed that Disney Magic sailings until October 2, 2020 have been suspended.

Disney Magic was due to dock at Liverpool Cruise Terminal on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 according to Cruise Liverpool’s call schedule.

The visit has now been removed from the schedule.
