Disney launches new big-brand interiors range with iconic Mickey Mouse, Marvel and Star Wars homewares from £17 to £2k

It used to be that Disney products were only ever available in the Disney Store. But in recent years Disney has collaborated with brands ranging from Primark to Harrods and every price point in between.

But now fans of Mickey and Minnie, Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar and everything else besides can give their homes a bit of Walt's magic more easily than ever, with the global giant today launching a new interiors brand called Disney Home.

Working with a wide range of licensees and retailers including big names like Next, Wayfair, Homebase, Selfridges and Amazon, Disney Home includes products for all the major franchises, cartoons and characters. Products in the launch range include bedlinen, cushions, shelving, rugs, wallpaper, artwork and plenty more besides - whether you want something bright, cheery and full of big characters for kids' bedrooms or a more subtle piece hiding in plain sight in the lounge.

Disney's Liz Shortreed said she hoped the range would help put 'the fun into functionality'. She added: “Disney Home offers families, fans and interiors enthusiasts the chance to style a little magic into their homes.”

With some of the new product lines hitting shelves today, we took a look at the first wave of products aiming to give your home a little Disney magic.

Mickey Mouse shelves

These shelves are available at Wayfair or in store at Next for £39.99. They're the perfect classic Mickey nod for a playroom or a quirky storage addition to a home office or even a kitchen - we think they'd be ideal for storing spices.

Ruggable rugs

Star Wars fans can accessorise with a Millennium Falcon rug alongside a wide range of other homeware options (Disney Home)

Disney-themed Ruggable rugs have been on a lot of people's wish lists since they launched in the US shortly before the pandemic, with fans of all things Mouse discussing tactics on Facebook groups for buying them while on holiday in the America and carrying them home. They're now finally available in the UK and as well as this Millennium Falcon themed one there are a host of others based around classic Disney properties, including Marvel and Mickey himself.

Rug pricing starts at £99. The rugs comes in two parts, a non-slip rug pad and then the themed top. This makes them fully machine washable, which is ideal if you have children or pets but also means if you do want to give a room a makeover you can just buy a new top rather than paying to replace the full rug.

The rugs are also perfect for homes where you want to have a little subtle Disney nod without going too full on - this lovely Persian style rug could sit in any living room without guests noticing there were hidden Mickeys throughout it unless they looked really closely.

Disney wallpaper

Andy's room wallpaper inspired by Pixar's Toy Story is available now in Homebase and other stores (Disney Home)

Another more subtle example is this blue wallpaper, one of a range at Homebase and available now at £17 a roll. To non-Pixar lovers it's just a cheery cloud print, but for fans of Woody and Buzz everywhere it's identical to their beloved owner Andy's room.

It's just one of a range of Disney wallpaper options released by Disney home and available and various DIY stores and wallpaper shops, including Winnie the Pooh and a pastel pink princess print.

Leblon Delienne figurines

This pop-art inspired Mickey figurine is part of a range of Leblonne Delienne figurines sold by Selfridges (Disney Home)

One of the most high-profile collaborations in Disney Home's launch range is with Leblon Delinne, sculptors beloved of pop-culture loving art collectors. Designed by Marcel Wanders, this iconic Mickey is a feature piece ideal to display on a side table or mantlepiece, but will set you back £200. It's one a selection of different styles available from Selfridges including limited collectors' editions going up to a hefty £2,000 for a piece co-designed by interior designer Kelly Hoppen.

Disney Home is available at stockists nationwide now. Shoppers can find inspiration at @DisneyHome on Instagram and Pinterest.
