Disney Cruise Line is launching a series of special UK cruises from July for the summer holidays complete with live shows, fun activities and those all-important character appearances.
Set onboard the Disney Magic cruise ship, guests will get to enjoy heaps of facilities including pools, waterslides, plenty of dining options, as well as some adult-only areas including a secluded pool and spa.
Oh, and of course there will be appearances from beloved characters including Mickey and Minnie, Frozen's Anna, Olaf and Elsa, as well as the Disney princesses and Marvel superheroes.
The cruises will sail on round trips from Liverpool, Southampton, Newcastle and London Tilbury, although it's worth noting that families will be staying on the ship for the entirety of the trip.
The company had previously revealed there would be UK sailings this summer, but has now shared some more details of the dates and ports it will be departing from;
- Liverpool: Select dates from 15 - 30 July 2021, for 2-, 3- and one 4-night sailings
- Southampton: Select dates from 4 - 30 August 2021, for 2-, 3- and limited 4-night sailings
- Newcastle: Select dates from 3 - 11 September 2021, for 2- and 3-night sailings
- London Tilbury: Select dates from 14 September - 1 October 2021, for 2- and 3-night sailings
The cruises will be going on sale from April 30 at 9am on disneycruise.co.uk
The company has said that it will implement a number of health and safety measures for passengers including COVID-19 testing, health screenings, face coverings, reduced guest capacity, physical distancing and enhanced cleaning.
Historically, the cruise line has only offered a small number of sailings from the UK as it predominantly sails from the US, so it's the perfect opportunity for those who've always wanted to enjoy a Disney cruise.
Of course these won't be the only time you can bag UK sailings on board Disney ships; there are some glamorous itineraries from Dover for summer 2022 to the likes of Northern Europe and the Norwegian Fjords.
Currently domestic cruises are set to resume alongside international travel as part of England's lockdown roadmap - the earliest date being May 17.
As a result, there are a number of cruise lines offering UK sailings this summer although some brands such as Saga and P&O Cruises have said that guests will need to be fully vaccinated in order to board their ships.
As for cruise holidays abroad? The UK government's Global Travel Taskforce said in a recent report that cruises abroad will be able to resume under the new traffic lights system, depending on the success of domestic cruises.
