Disney fans have flocked to a small Irish village to sneak a peek at the set of the studio’s new fairy tale movie.
Disenchanted, starring Hollywood regulars Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey, began filming in the Co Wicklow village of Enniskerry.
The fairy tale flick is the much anticipated sequel to Disney’s successful Enchanted movie which was a big hit for the studio when it was released back in 2007.
Disenchanted will be a massive budget production with Disney betting big on the follow-up flick.
Enniskerry has been made fit for a princess in the weeks and months before the arrival of the film crew.
Buildings have been given a fresh lick of pink paint before being covered in flowers and lights.
Wicklow has been the backdrop to plenty of Hollywood movies and big budget shows throughout the years with films such as Braveheart, My Left Foot and PS, I Love You all featuring scenes shot in the Garden County.
The film’s leading lady has also worked in Enniskerry before.
Amy Adams returns to the picturesque village after starring in Leap Year which featured scenes filmed there in 2009.
Adams stars as Giselle, an animated woman set to marry Prince Edward, who finds herself trapped in the real world – and the film switches from animation to live-action.
Filming will take place between the hours of 7am and 10pm from Monday 14 June to Friday 18 June.
They will return 6 July to 9 July between the hours of 5pm and 7pm, and then again on Wednesday 21 July and Thursday 22 July from 7am until 10pm.
