Disney: Epcot food fest adds indoor marketplace, 98 Degrees to concert series

Walt Disney World is introducing additions and changes to its upcoming Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, including a fresh new marketplace that's indoors. It has also filled out most of the Eat to the Beat concert series lineup with acts such as 98 Degrees and BBMak.

On the food side, the new Appleseed Orchard Marketplace will set up shop inside the theater that normally shows the "O Canada!" film. That attraction is being enhanced, which will allow festival-goers an air-conditioned break. Among the menu items there: apple-inspired adult beverages plus a kid-friendly frozen apple pie drink.

Other new edibles options will be Emile's Fromage Montage (cheeses in "inventive ways," Disney says) and the Alps Marketplace (Swiss cheese with baby potatoes, venison stew, frozen rose).

The festival begins Aug. 29, the same day that Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge debuts at Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park. The Epcot event runs daily through Nov. 23.

The Eat to the Beat concert series lineup has gained 98 Degrees on Oct. 7-9, BBMak on Nov. 15-16 and Spanish Harlem Orchestra Nov. 17-18. This leaves five nights remaining in the "to be announced" category for the event.

The expanded Disney du Jour Dance Party, located in Future World, will feature Radio Disney artist appearances, including Meg Donnelly (Aug. 30-31), Jenna Raine (Sept. 13-14), Sky Katz (Oct. 11-12) and JAGMAC (Oct. 18-19).
