Disney Cruise Line has revealed its summer 2022 programme of cruise holidays and there's good news for Brits as there are plenty of itineraries from the UK!
Mickey Mouse and his friends will be sailing on three round-trip sailings from Dover to the likes of Norway, European cities and even the British Isles, all onboard cruise ship Disney Magic.
The cruise sailing roundtrip from Dover will include:
- Seven-night Northern Europe Cruise with ports of call including Amsterdam, Warnemunde (Berlin), Copenhagen, Oslo, and some days at sea
- Seven-night Norwegian Fjords Cruise with ports of call including Alesund, Nordfjordeid, Eidfjord, Stavanger and some days at sea
- Seven-night British Isles Cruise with ports of call including Portland (Stonehenge), Cobh (Cork), Liverpool, Belfast, Greenock and days at sea
There will also be some sailings which include Dover as a start or end point - there are itineraries from Barcelona and Copenhagen ending in Dover, as well as one back from the UK to Copenhagen.
There are also other glamorous destinations across the Mediterranean, Greek Isles, Alaska and the Caribbean, although these don't sail from/to the UK.
All of the cruises are due to go on sale from March 25, although members of the Castaway Club can already enjoy advance booking perks. You can find out more on disneycruise.disney.go.com.
So what exactly does a Disney cruise entail? Well for a start you can expect some of those classic character meet and greets, themed deck parties, as well as plenty of live shows - and yes, that includes Disney Princesses.
Other perks include lively deck parties and fireworks shows, themed kids' clubs, waterslides, and of course ample opportunity to watch your favourite Disney films.
There are spacious staterooms, restaurants ranging from fine dining to buffets, and even some adults-only areas with a variety of bars and lounges.
Thomas Mazloum, president of Disney Cruise Line, said of the new sailings: "While we prepare for a return to sea just as soon as the time is right, we continue to look to the future and develop more cruising options for families.
"Offering this diverse new line-up of itineraries for the summer of 2022 shows our commitment to taking more guests to more destinations around the world as we plan for additional ships in the years ahead."
It's not the first time that the cruise line has sailed from Dover - although it does tend to predominantly offer sailings from the USA.
