Disney's cruise line has confirmed that adults who want to go on its UK cruise holidays this summer will need to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. (This means having received their second dose at least seven days before travelling).
Children won't be required to be vaccinated, but they will need have proof of a negative Covid-19 PCR test taken between five days and 24 hours before embarkation. These tests can start from £120, but Disney Cruise Line says it has secured a discounted rate with a supplier for guests.
Regardless of vaccination status, all passengers will also be required to undergo an antigen COVID-19 rapid test at the cruise terminal, prior to boarding.
Of course there is plenty of that classic Disney magic that awaits those who do book one of the cruise holidays on offer this summer.
Set onboard the Disney Magic cruise ship, guests will get to enjoy heaps of facilities including pools, waterslides, plenty of dining options, as well as some adult-only areas including a secluded pool and spa.
Then of course there will be appearances from beloved characters including Mickey and Minnie, Frozen's Anna, Olaf and Elsa, as well as the Disney princesses and Marvel superheroes.
The cruises will sail on round trips from Liverpool, Southampton, Newcastle and London Tilbury, although passengers will not disembark from the ship for the duration of the journey.
Disney hasn't yet confirmed how much the short breaks will cost, although the sailings are due to go on sale from April 30 at 9am on disneycruise.co.uk.

Domestic cruises in the UK are due to resume from May 17 at the earliest, with a number of cruise lines offering UK sailings for the summer, predominantly between June and September.
Other cruise lines such as P&O, Saga and Princess have also said that passengers will need to be fully vaccinated in order to be allowed on board their ships.
Currently there's not a confirmed restart date for cruise holidays abroad. However, the UK government's Global Travel Taskforce said in a recent report that cruises abroad will be able to resume under the new traffic lights system, depending on the success of domestic cruises.
Historically, Disney Cruise Line doesn't usually sail in the UK very much, predominantly departing from the USA instead.
However, this summer won't be the only opportunity Brits can have to sail on board Disney ships. In fact, the cruise line has already unveiled some itineraries from Dover for summer 2022 to the likes of Northern Europe and the Norwegian Fjords.
