Disney+ closes some customer services on day of launch

Disney has said it has had to close some of its Disney+ customer services centres due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The streaming service launched in the UK and Ireland today (March 24) with thousands of fans signing up to watch classic films and series.

But the company has warned customers that they should expect longer than normal wait times for live chat and phone support this week.

The company has suggested people visit the online Disney+ Help Centre at help.disneyplus.com/csp if there’s any issues that need solving.

This includes setting up your profile and managing your account, any troubleshooting issues such as playback, device queries including what you can watch Disney+ on and more.

Disney’s streaming service is home to 500 films, 350 series and 26 originals created for the platform. This includes Marvel movies, The Simpsons box set and Star Wars: The Mandalorian.

Customers can get themselves a seven day free trial and pay £5.99 per month or £59.99 per year once the trial is up.

It’s available to download as an app on your smart devices or Amazon Firestick as well as being available on the Sky Q box.
