Disney has cancelled the film premiere for Descendants 3 following the death of actor Cameron Boyce.
The 20-year-old star died at his home in Hollywood on Saturday July 7 after a seizure related to an ongoing medical condition.
His death comes a few weeks before he was due to walk the red carpet in Los Angeles on July 22 to showcase the new Disney film, in which he plays the teenage son of Cruella de Vil.
Instead of the event, The Walt Disney company said a TV broadcast will be dedicated in his memory and a donation will be made to the Thirst Project - a charity Boyce was "deeply committed" to.
While the Descendants films tell the story of the children of Disney villains, Boyce also starred in a Disney Channel sitcom, Jessie.
A post-mortem was carried out at the start of the week in LA where a coroner said further tests are needed to be carried out before an official cause of death is announced.
Following his death, the star's parents told ABC News: "The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him."
Descendants 3 is set to be released on the Disney Channel in the UK on August 2.
