Disney bubble NBA restart preview: Boston Celtics at Toronto Raptors

The Boston Celtics battle their Atlantic Division rivals the Toronto Raptors this Friday, August 7th at 9 p.m. ET in the Disney restart hosted at the Wide World of Sports complex in Lake Buena Vista, Florida as the Celtics seek to extend their wins to multiple games for the first time in the resumed 2019-20 NBA season.

Undefeated in the so-called ‘bubble,’ the Raptors sit firmly in the East’s second slot while the Celtics are 2-2 and risking falling from the third slot with a loss.

Boston is up two games to one in the season series so far, but momentum seems to be favoring the Raps going into tonight’s contest.

The Celtics have a fully clean bill of health, with All-Star point guard Kemba Walker’s minutes restriction expected to be raised to a near-normal level as he slowly ramps up his activity level ahead of the playoffs.

The Raptors will be without small forward Patrick McCaw (knee), and forward Oshae Brissett is listed as questionable for the tilt as well.

This should be a good test for where Boston’s roster is at on both ends, with most online sports books granting a slight edge to the defending champs with the Celtics at a +2 spread.

Our prediction is a close game, Boston pulling out a low-scoring nailbiter at 88-87.
