Disney: 'Beauty and the Beast' bar opens at Grand Floridian

Walt Disney World has opened a lounge based on the live-action film "Beauty and the Beast." The Enchanted Rose operates off the second-floor lobby of the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

Rather than a re-creation of settings from the movie, the revitalized space has more of an "inspired by" look. For instance, a chandelier over the main bar is a shout-out to Belle's golden ball gown, Disney says. The garden room leans on the forest surrounding Beast's castle, and the patio harkens unto the garden terrace. A formal library has baroque designs and French furnishings.

Enchanted Rose takes over the area previously known as Mizner's. It was named after 1920s-era architect Addison Mizner, who designed several buildings in South Florida. The Mizner's-to-Enchanted-Rose refurbishment began in April.

The lounge now serves wine, champagne, beer, cocktails and mocktails. Edibles includes cheese selections, white sturgeon caviar, smoked short rib sliders, truffle fries, crab and gnocchetti gratin, flatbread pizza and more.

Enchanted Rose generally is open from 1 p.m. to midnight. Hours, complete menu and other details are available at disneyworld.com or the My Disney Experience app.
