Disney are hiring staff to work on their luxury cruise ships - here's how to apply

If you wish upon a star and dream of working at Disney , then you might just be in luck.

Disneyland is known as 'The Happiest Place On Earth' and this job will involve working at 'The Happiest Place On The Seas'.

The iconic company are recruiting staff to work on board their luxury cruise ships.

Successful employees will be working alongside Disney's best known characters on ships across the world with cruises taking place in the USA, Caribbean, Alaska and across Europe.

Or, if that doesn't fulfil your widest imaginations - you could apply to work at Disney's own private island in the Bahamas - Castaway Cay, as the Liverpool Echo reports.

Onboard their ships, Disney are looking for youth activities counsellors running entertainment for families.

You will have to be flexible with your work schedule, job duties, and work locations as you start your new adventure in the Youth Activities department.

As a youth activities counsellor you can showcase your leadership, creativity and talent, by facilitating and presenting small scale activities.

You will also assist in set-up and clean-up duties at the conclusion of each program. This includes, cleaning and sanitation of spaces and objects as well.

Employees need to be able to work without a day off for over four months at a time, and work 70 to 84 hours per week.

Applicants need to be at least 20 years old, with a minimum of two years of experience working in a similar kids’ camp environment.

Disney is also look for recreation staff to work on Castaway Cay in the Bahamas.

This will involve monitoring the safety of guests and rotating among multiple lifeguard stations.

You will also assist with island activities and clean the beach and boat lagoon.

Applicants for the role need to have a minimum of two years recent work experience in a lifeguard capacity, in a pool or open-water setting; high volume environment.
