Disney actor Chris Tavarez jailed for domestic violence after girlfriend concussed

Actor Chris Tavarez, who starred in Disney show K.C Undercover alongside Zendaya , has been jailed for domestic violence.

The 27-year-old was arrested after police officers were called to a Hollywood home last weekend.

There had been a dispute between him and his girlfriend which had got physical.

By the time they arrived, Tavarez had fled the scene, but his girlfriend had marks on her body.

He reportedly pushed her, which caused her to hit her head and get a concussion, according to family sources.

But she refused the officers' offer of taking her for medical treatment at a hospital.

Two days later, reports TMZ , Tavarez was arrested and charged with felony domestic violence.

He was then released on a $100,000 bail (£77,830).

Tavarez is best known for playing Darien on TV show K.C Undercover, but also starred in Disney Channel film Avalon High, and in Big Momma's House 2.

His representatives have not yet responded to request for comment.

Disney recently pulled an episode of The Simpsons because it featured the late Michael Jackson, who has been accused of child abuse.

The new Disney streaming service launched in the US yesterday, but according to comicbook.com one episode is missing from the collection of The Simpsons episodes.

The third season premiere episode, entitled Stark Raving Dad, features Homer being institutionalised and meeting a fellow patient named Leon who believes he is Michael Jackson.

An uncredited Jackson himself voiced the character in the episode and sings to a saddened Lisa Simpson in the episode, despite the vocals not being provided by Jackson and instead by Kipp Lennon.

The episode is not available on Disney+ with the following episode being shown as the first of the third season on the service's interface.

Since the release of documentary series Leaving Neverland earlier this year, which chronicles the child sex abuse allegations against Jackson, the episode was pulled from syndication as well as the series' previous home of the FX app in the US.
