Dishoom to ditch £10 cap for Eat Out To Help Out and offer all food half price

Popular Indian restaurant group Dishoom is taking part in the Eat Out to Help Out scheme – but it’s ditching the £10 cap and offering diners 50 per cent off their full bill instead.

The Bombay-style Irani cafe brand has revealed that customers dining in on the designated deal days – every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of August – will pay half price for all food and non-alcoholic drinks, no matter what the bill comes to.

The government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme – which launches today – gives diners at signed-up restaurants across the UK the chance to get 50 per cent off their bill, up to the value of £10 per person.

The offer will be available at all open Dishoom locations, including Kensington, King’s Cross, Carnaby and Shoreditch in London, as well as at the group’s Manchester, Edinburgh and Birmingham restaurants.

The scheme will allow customers to get 50 per cent off dishes at any time of day, ranging from Dishoom’s famed bacon naan for breakfast, to its 24-hour cooked black daal in the evenings.

In even better news, diners no longer need to queue to get a table at the beloved restaurants.

Having been famed for the queues caused by its evening “no reservations” policy prior to lockdown, Dishoom diners are now able to book a table for up to six people at the venues at any time of day.

More than 32,000 restaurants across the UK have signed up for, including many across the capital – you can check out a guide to our favourite places taking part here.
