Dishoom confirms new Birmingham restaurant

Indian restaurant group Dishoom has announced plans to open its first Midlands venue in Birmingham.

The company has confirmed it will be launching a new restaurant at the £700 million city centre Paradise complex after being linked with the site earlier this year.

Dishoom, which serves food inspired by the Irani cafés of Bombay, has agreed a deal to take 7,606 sq ft of ground floor space at One Chamberlain Square which will overlook the new public space and Congreve Street.

It is due to open next spring and will join financial services firm PwC which is relocating its Birmingham team from Cornwall Street after taking all of the building’s office space.

Last month, law firm DLA Piper also confirmed it had signed a deal to take two floors in Two Chamberlain Square, the second office block currently under development at Paradise.

The new restaurant, which is the group’s eighth in the country, will have menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner and a cocktail bar.

Paradise will eventually have up to ten new buildings including a new four-star hotel.
