Disgusting trail of dirty nappies, poo bags and empty cans of lager dumped along Swansea cycle path

Dirty nappies and poo bags have been left strewn over a Swansea path sparking fury among walkers.

They were stunned at the sight of lager cans and other rubbish left piled up along the route at the city’s Nantyffin Road. Outraged walkers have been posting the pictures on social media.

A Swansea Council spokesman called on people to get in touch with the local authority over fly-tipping through its pages so it could investigate the problem and take action.

One walker said: “This is disgraceful, this needs to be sorted out. Rubbish everywhere on this walk path, dirty nappies, poo bags hanging up on fences, cans, a baby cot.

“I usually enjoy my dog walk and look at nature, instead this has been here for a while. Catch these fly-tippers.”

She added: “You can see all the rubbish and poo bags hanging up on fences, it’s disgusting.”

A Swansea Council spokesman said a link to its ‘reporting litter’ pages had been sent to the walker so the incident could be referred to its environment team who would clear up the mess if it was on public land.

He said: “We always advise residents to report litter/fly-tipping to us via our online reporting pages so we can investigate and take action where necessary in terms of enforcement.”
