A disgusting thug spat at an Ayrshire bus driver through their open cab window.
The sickening incident happened on the number 12 service — which runs between Stevenston and Ardrossan — shortly before 4.30pm on Tuesday, April 19.
The driver was spat at by a member of the public who was passing the vehicle on the street — although neither Police Scotland or Stagecoach West Scotland have provided the precise location.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to reports of an assault on a bus driver at around 4.25pm on Tuesday, April 19. Enquiries are ongoing.”
A spokesperson for Stagecoach West Scotland added: "Our bus drivers work extremely hard to assist our customers every day and any incident of this nature is completely unacceptable.
"We continue to liaise with Police Scotland to assist them in ongoing enquiries and urge anyone with information to telephone 101."
