"Disgusting" drivers have been slapped with fines over pavement parking after reportedly being warned several times.
The ECHO reported earlier this week how a parking row in Newton-le-Willows had been sparked after a row of vehicles were spotted completely blocking the footpath outside a school. Local councillor Seve Gomez-Aspron described the parking as "dangerous".
The warning from Cllr Gomez-Aspron does not appear to have made an impact however, as once again to the councillor took to social media to report on cars blocking pavements in the area.

In a further statement posted on March 1, Cllr Gomez-Aspron claimed that ten drivers have been hit with parking fines for obstructing the pavement on the Vulcan Park Estate in Newton-le-Willows. He also urged drivers to "park legally and considerately".
The statement said: "We can’t have given anymore warning, but approx. ten vehicles have been issued fines for obstructing the pavement on the new Vulcan Park Estate.
"Mums, families, blind people, disabled people all use this estate. Parking like in the photo just forces them into the road. Just park legally and considerately. Thanks to our local Police Team for helping out residents."
The post gained over 50 comments on Facebook, with many urging people to drive considerately in the area. One person said: "Thoughtless parking. They deserve a ticket."
While another added: "Good. People seem to think rules don't apply to them."
Another person said: "Disgusting parking, if they actually cared they'd at least park half on road half on pavement."
Another person added: "Well they were warned, it's their own arrogance to the law that has them fined."
One frustrated resident added: "Inconsiderate, all of them vehicles should be towed away to a compound."
