Disgusted volunteers find bag full of human poo in Asda food bank donations trolley

Volunteers were horrified when a bag of human excrement was added to food bank donations in a supermarket .

The vile deposit was discovered among supplies gifted by generous Asda shoppers.

Brenda Fogg, who runs the volunteer group Hope Restored, is disgusted at the foul find.

She told North Wales Live : "When we went to empty the trolley at Asda, we noticed a carrier bag had been placed in there.

"We looked inside and the smell was disgusting, it was a bag of human faeces."

Staff at the Llududno branch in Wales are outraged and at a loss as to what would motivate someone to do such a thing.

A spokesman said: "We are proud to support local good causes right across the UK, including Hope Restored at our Llandudno store who do such wonderful work for foodbanks in the area, and we will ensure all of the kind donations that were made by our customers are replaced so that the charity does not go without this Christmas ."

Brenda explained that donations had to be thrown away over contamination fears.

She added: "The assistant manager came over and said himself he was disgusted and asked how anyone could do that.

"It upset me because we are run off our feet at this time of year collecting the food so many people have graciously donated."

"It was disgusting and horrible - especially when so many people are in need and we need all the donations we can get.

"Unfortunately, we had to throw a lot of the food away.

"Let's just hope that whoever did it, never has to rely on a food bank themselves one day."
