Disgusted dog walker hits out at 'absolutely ridiculous' rubbish mountain on Scots woodland path

A disgusted dog walker has hit out at 'absolutely ridiculous' litter bugs dumped on a Scots woodland path .

Molli Vass was out with her dog Barclay and her brother in the woods near the Bishopmill area of Elgin for a walk yesterday morning.

But the trio were astounded to be confronted with a mountain of rubbish on their peaceful stroll.

Molli said she thought frustrated locals were perhaps taking to the woods to dump their rubbish.

Molli was stunned at the amount of litter left (Submitted)

The 18-year-old, who works part time at her local newsagent, said "Not many people go there anymore I don’t think. Occasionally kids are playing there, I know i used to a while back anyway.

"I was walking my dog with my brother and kind of spotted it in the distance, had to climb down a little bit from the main path to get to it.

"There’s a fence right next to the little ditch, looks as though someone has been just throwing their bags over the fence.

"I made sure not to take my dog or my brother too close as you don’t know what you can find there...

"I just thought it was absolutely awful. I’m very very passionate about things like this, I just think littering is terrible and more needs to be done about it."

Molli even found an Amazon parcel in among the debris of thrown away bottles and packaging.

She said: "I found an amazon parcel and a couple other just random bits of packaging all with the same name and address.

"It annoyed me very much, I almost felt like bagging it all up myself and going and putting it back at their doorstep.

"Talking with my parents about it i think it has been building up over a while. Maybe just every so often this person has been dumping it when their bins get too full.

"I’ve seen a lot of people complaining that it’s the council’s fault for only emptying the bins every 3 weeks or so, but that is still no excuse to do something like this."

An angry Molli wrote on Facebook: "Yeah this is absolutely ridiculous, who the hell thinks this is okay? Not exactly the most pleasant view for a morning walk."
