Disgusted dog walker finds filthy urine-filled catheter dumped at Ayrshire kids park

A horrified dog walker was stunned to find a filthy urine-filled catheter dumped at a kids park in Ayrshire.

Georgia Macdonald made the disgusting discovery while exercising pet pooch Asher with partner Taylor at Irvine Moor on Monday night.

The medical device had been abandoned right outside a children's playpark with bins just yards away.

Georgia, 23, said: "The dog was straining at the leash but we couldn't see what she was trying to get at because it was so dark.

"I was absolutely disgusted when I realised it was a catheter.

"There's absolutely no excuse for something like that to be discarded in that way – especially next to a kids park.

"It's not as if there are no bins in the area – there's loads of them and two very close by.

"I understand that face masks can fall out of bins but not a catheter. I just couldn't believe it.

"I only live a few minutes away from the park and it's usually not bad when it comes to litter.

"You see the odd crisp packet but this is the first time I've seen anything like this."
