'Disgraceful' - Everton fans furious after embarrassing Watford collapse

Angry Evertonians were left in disbelief as their side suffered a late collapse to lose 5-2 at home to Watford despite leading 2-1 with 12 minutes to go.

Tom Davies fired Everton into a third minute lead but despite former Blues striker Josh King (who failed to score in 11 games for the club last season) equalising on 13 minutes, substitute Richarlison’s header less than three minutes after coming on restored the hosts’ advantage against his former club on 63 minutes.

Another header from Juraj Kucka restored parity for a second time on 78 minutes and prompted a spectacular falling apart from Rafa Benitez’s side.

A mere two minutes later, King struck again to put Watford 4-2 up and he increased their advantage on 86 minutes to complete his hat-trick before Emmanuel Dennis sealed the rout in stoppage time.

Furious Blues fans were left blasted the defensive displays of their players while also left questioning the wisdom of the changes that Benitez made with the impressive pair Anthony Gordon and then Demarai Gray both making way on an afternoon in which their side lost control.

A win could have seen Everton climb to fourth in the table but instead their second home defeat in the space of six days sees them drop to eighth.
