‘Disgrace’ Kim Kardashian blasted online for ‘disgusting’ meal replacement diet ad

Kim Kardashian has been branded a “disgrace” after she kicked off the new year with a diet advert.

The mother-of-three outraged fans after she promoted meal replacement diet shakes to her 123 million Instagram followers.

Kardashian, 38, shared a mirror selfie in her workout gear holding the shake in hand as she prompted followers to make the most of her 20 per cent discount code.

She wrote: “You guys all know I looove @flattummyco shakes. I've just restarted them (it's Day 2 today) and I’m already feeling so good. We had a huuuuge Christmas this year and between that, New Years and everything in between.

“I felt like it was impossible to fit in my regular work outs and eat healthy. But this program is giving me a kick in the right direction that I need. These meal replacement shakes are so good and they're helping me get my tummy back to flat (sic).”

She concluded the lengthy posted by encouraging fans to “start 2019 off right".

Users were quick to hit out at the star, with many questioning Kardashian over the example she is setting for her three children North, Chicago and Saint.

One user wrote: “So bad for you. Such a terrible message for the people following you. The young girls like your own daughter you're telling need to have a flat stomach to be.”

Another commented: “To be worthy or valid. Disgusting.”

A third posted: “Disgrace you are promoting this to impressionable young girls. You have girls of your own who will be impressionable one day too.”

It is not the first time Kardashian has been criticised for promoting diet-related products.

Last year, she caused a storm online after she was branded "irresponsible" for promoting a lollipop which acts as an appetite-suppressant.

Many were quick to bombard the reality star with messages surrounding the “dangerous” promotion, with some people claiming it “encouraged starving.”

Others called on her to rethink the products she promotes given her public platform.

The news comes after reports circled that Kardashian is gearing up to welcome baby number four via a surrogate alongside husband Kanye West.

The couple are yet to confirm the reports.
